Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe student teams-achievement divisions (stad) berbantuan media mind mapping terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas iv sd citra bangsa tarakan. penelitian ini ialah penelitian kuantitatif jenis eksperimen semu. penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan januari-februari 2020. dengan populasi siswa kelas iv sd citra bangsa tarakan dan sampel yang terdiri dari satu kelas yaitu kelas iv a yang diberikan perlakuan. teknik dalam pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. data hasil penelitian diolah dengan bantuan software spss v.21 for windows. hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pada penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe student teams-achievement divisions (stad) berbantuan media mind mapping terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari hasil korelasi diperoleh bahwa pengaruh model pembelajaran sangat kuat dengan hasil koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,888 dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,789 atau 78,9% dan pengajuan hipotesis diperoleh thitung sebesar 8,638 pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05 dengan df= 20 diperoleh ttabelsebesar 2,085 berarti thitung > ttabel. kata kunci: model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe student teams-achievement divisions (stad), kemampuan berpikir kritis, media mind mapping

This study aimed to determine the effect of applying a cooperative learning model of student teams-achievement divisions (stad) that was assisted by mind mapping media on the critical thinking skills of the fourth grade students of sd citra bangsa tarakan. it was a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design. this research was conducted in january-february 2020 with a population of fourth grade students at sd citra bangsa tarakan. the sample consisted of one class, namely class iv a, that was taken using a purposive sampling technique. the research data were processed with the help of spss v.21 for windows software. the results showed that there was an effect of the application of stad assisted by mind mapping media on the students’ critical thinking abilities. the correlation results indicated that the effect of the learning model was very strong with the correlation coefficient of 0.888 and the coefficient of determination of 0.789 or 78.9. the calculated t value was 8.638 at a significant level of 0.05 with df = 20. the critical t value was 2,085 which was greater than the calculated t value. keywords: cooperative learning model, student teams-achievement divisions (stad), critical thinking ability, media mind mapping
