Cabe merah besar merupakan salah satu komoditi yang tidak dapat ditinggalkan dalam kebutuhan rumah tangga meskipun bukan bahan pangan pokok. penelitian ini dilakukan di mamburungan timur kota tarakan. tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi cabe merah besar baik simultan maupun parsial di kota tarakan. responden yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 32 responden dengan metode sampling data dianalisis dengan regresi linier berganda program spss versi 18. teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan mengajukan kuesioner kepada responden.berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi berganda maka pengaruh luas lahan (x1), bibit (x2), pupuk (x3) dan pestisida (x4) terhadap jumlah produksi cabe merah besar(y) sebesar 0,889 (r2) atau 88,9% sisanya sebesar 11,1 % dipengaruhi faktor lain diluar model. berdasarkan uji f pada pada faktor-faktor produksi melalui fungsi produksi cobb-douglass diketahui tanaman cabe merah besar menyatakan bahwa faktor luas lahan, bibit, pupuk dan pestisida secara keseluruhan berpengaruh terhadap produksi cabe merah besar dengan nilai f sebesar (25.264) signifikan 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05. berdasarkan hasil uji t menunjukan bahwa faktor-faktor melalui fungsi cobb-douglass yang mempengaruhi secara parsial terhadap produksi cabe merah besar (y) adalah luas lahan (x1) bibit (x2) dan pupuk (x3) dengan nilai probabilitas masing-masing sebesar 0,001, 0,007 dan 0,025 lebih kecil 0,05 dan pestisida (x4) tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan (0,473 ? 0,05). kata kunci: cabe merah, produksi, petani

Big red chili is one commodity that can not be left in the household needs, although not staple food. this research was conducted in eastern mamburungan tarakan city. the purpose of this study is to determine the factors that affect the production of big red chilli both simultaneous and partial in the city of tarakan. respondents used in this study as much as 32 respondents with data sampling method was analyzed by multiple linear regression spss program version 18. data collection technique in this research is to ask questionnaires to the respondents. based on multiple regression analysis, the effect of land area (x1), seed (x2), fertilizer (x3) and pesticide (x4) on the amount of large red chili (y) production 0.889 (r2) or 88,9% remaining by 11,1% influenced by other factors outside the model. based on the f test on the production factors through the cobb-douglass production function, it is known that the big red chili plant states that the area of land, seeds, fertilizers and pesticides as a whole influences the production of large red chillies with the value of f (25.264) significant 0.000 smaller than 0.05. based on the result of t test shows that the factors through the cobb-douglass function that partially affect the production of big red chili (y) is the land area (x1) seed (x2) and fertilizer (x3) with the probability value of 0.001, 0.007 and 0.025 smaller 0.05 and pesticide (x4) did not significantly influence (0.473 ? 0.05). keywords: red chili, production, farmer
